Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Eldena from Greifswald, take bus line 1 or 2 from the Greifswald Platz der Freiheit towards Eldena. The bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Eldena stop, a short walk from the nature preserve. A single journey costs around €2-€3.

  • Walking

    From the center of Greifswald, it's approximately a 4.6 km walk to Eldena. Head southeast, following signs towards Eldena. The walk takes around 54 minutes.

  • Car

    If driving from Greifswald, head southeast on Friedrichstraße toward Mühlenstraße. Follow the road as it turns into Greifswalder Str. (B105) and continue south. After about 5 kilometers, turn left onto Eldenaer Allee, following signs for Eldena. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Eldena nature preserve area. Parking is available near Strandbad Eldena, with hourly rates at €0.50 and a maximum daily rate of €2.50 (from 8:00-20:00).
