Walking
From the Partnach Gorge parking area (Parkplatz Partnachklamm), it's approximately a 25-minute walk to the entrance of the gorge. Follow the signs towards Partnachklamm. The well-maintained path leads along the Partnach River. Alternatively, horse-drawn carriages are often available from the parking area to the entrance for around €6-8 per person. Once at the entrance, there is an entrance fee of €7.50 per adult to enter the gorge.
Public Transport
From Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station, take bus line 1 or 2 towards the Skistadion. Get off at the 'Olympia Skistadion' stop. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to the Partnach Gorge parking area (Parkplatz Partnachklamm), following signs for Partnachklamm. A single bus fare is approximately €2-3. From the parking area, follow the walking directions above. Remember to factor in the entrance fee of €7.50 per adult to enter the gorge.
Driving
Drive towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen and follow signs for the Olympia Skistadion. Ample parking is available at the Parkplatz Partnachklamm (Wildenau 14, 82467 Garmisch-Partenkirchen). Parking fees are approximately €3 per car for the day. From the parking area, it's a 25-minute walk to the gorge entrance. Alternatively, horse-drawn carriages are available for around €6-8 per person. Don't forget the €7.50 entrance fee per adult to access the gorge itself.
