Public Transport
The Humboldt Forum is easily accessible via public transport. Take the U5 subway line to the U Museumsinsel station, which is a 1-minute walk from the museum. Alternatively, you can take bus lines 100, 147, 300, or N5 to the Lustgarten or Berliner Schloss bus stops, both a 1-minute walk away. A short trip ticket (Kurzstrecke) costs around €2.40.
Walking
The Humboldt Forum is located in the city center, directly opposite Museum Island. If you are already in the vicinity, such as at Alexanderplatz or the Brandenburg Gate, you can easily walk to the museum. From Alexanderplatz, it's a 15-minute walk; from Hackescher Markt, it's a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards Museum Island and the Berlin Cathedral.
Taxi/Ride-sharing
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Berlin. A short taxi ride from Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hbf) to the Humboldt Forum takes approximately 5 minutes and costs around €12-€15. Taxi stands are located at Spandauer Straße, corner Rathausstraße. Popular taxi companies include Radio Cab Berlin and Funk Taxi Berlin.
Car
If driving, be aware that parking in central Berlin can be challenging and expensive. Car parks are available at Dom Aquarée, Bebelplatz, and Rathauspassagen. Parking garages typically charge hourly rates similar to street parking, with some offering daily rates. Street parking in the city center is subject to charges, with fees ranging from €1-€3 per hour. Consider using parking apps like Mobypark to find and reserve parking spaces in advance.
