Public Transport
If you are near Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn line 18 towards 'Königsforst' or line 16 towards 'Nippes'. Get off at the 'Neusser Str./Gürtel' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 10 minutes. Exit the station and head northeast on Neusser Strasse, then turn left onto Riehler Strasse. Continue straight until you reach Riehler Str. 173. The Cologne Zoological Garden will be on your right.
Walking
If you are staying in the area of the city center, you can walk to the zoo. Start at the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), head northeast toward the train station, and continue along the Bahnhofstraße to Neumarkt. From Neumarkt, walk along the Riehler Strasse for about 30 minutes until you reach Riehler Str. 173. The zoo will be on the right side of the street.
Tram
From the city center, you can take tram line 12 or 15. Board the tram at 'Heumarkt' station towards 'Bocklemünd' or 'Ubierring'. Get off at 'Zoo/Flora' stop. Once you exit, walk a short distance along the path to the entrance of the Cologne Zoological Garden, which is located at Riehler Str. 173.
