Train
From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), take a regional train (RE) towards Bonn. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Bonn Central Station (Bonn Hbf). From there, you can walk to the German Museum Bonn. Exit the station and head southeast on Bonngasse, then take a left onto Wenzelgasse. Continue straight until you reach Ahrstraße and turn right. The museum will be on your left at Ahrstraße 45.
Bus
From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), walk to the bus stop 'Köln Hbf' and take bus line 610 towards Bonn Bad Godesberg. The bus ride will take around 40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Bonn Ahrstraße.' From the bus stop, walk a few minutes along Ahrstraße until you reach the German Museum Bonn at Ahrstraße 45.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Cologne. Head towards the Rhine and follow the riverbank path south towards Bonn. The distance is approximately 30 km and will take about 1.5 hours. Once you reach Bonn, continue to follow the signs towards Bad Godesberg. After crossing the Ahrstraße, arrive at Ahrstraße 45 for the German Museum Bonn.
Walking
Walking directly from Cologne to Bonn is quite a long journey (roughly 30 km) and not recommended unless you're prepared for a long hike. However, if you're already in Bonn or close by, simply walk along Ahrstraße towards the museum located at Ahrstraße 45. It's a pleasant area to stroll through.
