If you are starting from the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), exit the cathedral and head west on Unter Fettenhennen street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Breite Straße. Turn left onto Breite Straße and proceed until you reach the Rhine River. Once at the river, take a right and walk along the promenade. Follow the path until you see the Rheintor der mittelalterlichen Stadtmauer on your left, just past the historic buildings along the waterfront. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
