Train
From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), take a regional train (RE) heading towards Düsseldorf. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Düsseldorf Central Station (Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and follow the signs to the tram stop.
Tram
At Düsseldorf Central Station, board tram line 701 (the tram direction is towards 'Düsseldorf, Heerdt'). It will take you directly toward the Rheintreppe. Get off at the stop 'Rheinufer'. From the tram stop, walk towards the river and you will see the Rheintreppe along the Rhine promenade.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Düsseldorf Central Station, exit the station and head south towards Worringer Strasse. Continue straight until you reach the Rhine River promenade. Turn right and walk along the riverbank for about 15 minutes until you reach the Rheintreppe. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
