Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), exit the cathedral and head southwest on Domstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Unter Käster. Turn right onto Unter Käster and follow it straight until you reach the large intersection with Hohe Straße. Cross the street and continue straight onto Breite Straße until you reach the intersection with Alte Mauer. Turn left onto Alte Mauer, and you will find the Roman Townwall on your right. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 18 in the direction of Bonn, and get off at the stop 'Heumarkt'. Once you exit the tram, head south on Heumarkt toward Alter Markt. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Alte Mauer. Turn left onto Alte Mauer, and you will see the Roman Townwall shortly after. The total travel time, including the tram ride and walking, should take around 20-25 minutes.
