Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Dresden Frauenkirche, head northwest on Neumarkt toward the Altmarkt. Continue straight onto Altmarkt and then turn right onto Wilsdruffer Str. After a short walk, turn left onto Wilsdruffer Straße and follow it until you reach Königstraße. Turn left onto Königstraße and continue walking until you reach the bridge over the Elbe River. Cross the bridge, and upon reaching the other side, you will see the Golden Rider statue on your right at Neustädter Markt.

• Public Transport (Tram)

  From the Altmarkt, take tram line 11 or 6 from the Altmarkt tram station in the direction of 'Dresden Neustadt' or 'Dresden Prohlis'. Alight at the 'Neustädter Markt' stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the Golden Rider statue, located at Neustädter Markt 14. The tram ticket costs approximately €2.60 for a single journey, which can be purchased at ticket machines at the tram station.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental services available in Altstadt. From the main square, head northwest towards the Elbe River and follow the riverside bike path that leads to Neustädter Markt. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. Ensure you have a helmet and follow local cycling rules. Rental prices typically start at €10 per day.
