Getting There

Train
From Dresden, head to the Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can take tram line 1, 2, or 8 to reach the station if you're not already there. Once at the Hauptbahnhof, purchase a ticket to Děčín. Board a train heading to Ústí nad Labem, which will stop at Děčín. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Děčín, exit the train station and look for bus line 400 towards Jílové. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes, and you will disembark at the Jílové stop. From there, follow the signs to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, which are a short walk away.

Starting from Dresden, take tram line 9 to the Dresden-Neustadt bus station, where you can find buses going to Jílové. Look for a bus service towards Jílové, which should take around 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Jílové, follow the signs to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, which are accessible by foot. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance to plan your trip.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Dresden. Head towards the Elbe River and follow the riverbank cycling path upstream. The route will take you through beautiful scenery and will lead you directly towards Jílové. The cycling distance is about 22 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed. Once in Jílové, you can easily find your way to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
