Public Transport
If you are starting from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the U-Bahn (subway) line U79 towards 'Krefeld, Rheinstraße' and get off at the 'Düsseldorf Flughafen' station. From there, transfer to bus line 721 towards 'Kaiserswerth' and ride for 10 stops. Get off at the 'Kaiserswerther Str./Schwarzer Weg' stop. The Japanese Garden will be a short walk away, approximately 5 minutes. Head down Kaiserswerther Str. towards the river, and you'll find the entrance on your right.
Walking
If you are near the city center or the Altstadt (Old Town), you can walk to the Japanese Garden. Start from the Burgplatz and head northeast towards the Rhine. Follow the river until you reach the Oberkasseler Brücke (bridge). Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Kaiserswerther Str. Walk for about 30-40 minutes, and you will see the entrance to the Japanese Garden on your left at Kaiserswerther Str. 380.
Taxi or Ride-share
For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi or book a ride-share service like Uber. Simply provide the driver with the address: Kaiserswerther Str. 380, 40474 Düsseldorf. The ride from the city center will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
