Train
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S1 train towards Duisburg. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at Duisburg Hauptbahnhof. Once you arrive, exit the station and head towards the bus stop.
Bus
At Duisburg Hauptbahnhof, take bus line 901 towards 'Duisburg, Königstraße'. After about 5 stops, get off at 'Duisburg, Burgplatz'. From here, Mercatorbrunnen is just a short walk away. Head towards Burgplatz 19, and you will see the fountain.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Duisburg Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head southwest on Düsseldorfer Str./B288. Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Burgplatz. Mercatorbrunnen is located at Burgpl. 19, 47051 Duisburg, right in the square.
Tram
From Düsseldorf, you can also take tram line U79 from either 'Düsseldorf, Heinrich-Heine-Allee' or 'Düsseldorf, Hauptbahnhof'. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at 'Duisburg, Königstraße'. From there, walk towards Burgplatz, which is about a 10-minute walk.
