From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S-Bahn (S6 or S11) heading towards Köln (Cologne). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at Köln Hbf (Cologne Central Station). Exit the station and walk towards the direction of the Dom (Cathedral). Once outside, head towards the left side of the Cathedral and follow the signs towards 'Heinrich-Böll-Platz'. The Museum Ludwig is located in this square, just a short 10-minute walk from the station.

From Düsseldorf, take tram line 709 towards 'Düsseldorf, Mörsenbroich' to 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee'. Change here to tram line 707 towards 'Köln, Hbf (Cologne)'. You will arrive at the Cologne Central Station in about 45 minutes. Once you exit the station, walk towards the left side of the Cathedral and follow the signs for 'Heinrich-Böll-Platz'. The Museum Ludwig is located in this square.
