From Hattingen Mitte station, the Old Town Hall is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Head southwest towards Bahnhofstraße, then turn right onto Augustastraße. Continue onto Heggerstraße, passing the St. Georgs Kirche on your left. Turn left onto Haldenplatz, and then turn right onto Untermarkt. The Old Town Hall will be on your right.

If arriving at Hattingen Mitte by train (S3) or bus (various lines including 350, SB37, SB38), exit the station and follow the walking directions above. The walk from the station to the Old Town Hall is well-signed. A single VRR ticket for a short trip within Hattingen costs approximately €2.10.
