From Aachen, take bus line SB63 towards Roetgen. Several stops in Roetgen are within walking distance of Struffelt, including Roetgen, Post; Roetgen, Mittelstraße; and Roetgen, Wanderstation. From any of these stops, follow local signage or a map app, walking generally north or northwest, to reach the Struffelt area. The walk from these stops to the edge of the nature preserve is generally between 10-20 minutes. A single bus fare from Aachen to Roetgen costs approximately €3-€5.

From Roetgen, follow signs towards Rott. A convenient parking area is located near the Dreilägertalsperre dam (Wanderparkplatz Dreilägertalsperre, Jägerhausstraße, 52159 Roetgen), which provides direct access to the Struffelt hiking trails. Parking is free. From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trails into the Struffelt nature preserve.
