From Domplatz (Cathedral Square), walk east towards the Rathaus (Town Hall). Fischmarkt is the square directly in front of the Rathaus. Bernd's statue is situated near the Rathaus entrance. From the Krämerbrücke (Merchants' Bridge), walk north towards Fischmarkt; you'll see the Rathaus on your left. The statue is a short walk from Benediktsplatz, heading towards the Old Town Hall.

The closest tram stop is 'Rathaus/Fischmarkt', served by lines 2, 3, 4, and 6. From Erfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 3 (direction Europaplatz) or line 6 (direction Rieth) to 'Rathaus/Fischmarkt'. The statue is a short walk from the tram stop, directly in front of the Rathaus. A single tram fare within Erfurt is approximately €2.30.
