Train
From Essen Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), take the S-Bahn line S6 towards Düsseldorf. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. Once you arrive, follow the signs to exit the station.
Tram
Exit Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof and head to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 701 or 709 towards 'Bilk' or 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee'. Get off at 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Burgplatz. Head towards the Rhine River; Burgplatz is located along the riverbank.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, it's around a 15 to 20-minute walk. Exit the station and walk straight down Worringer Strasse. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Heinrich-Heine-Allee, then turn left. Follow the road until you reach the Rhine River, then turn right. Walk along the riverbank until you see Burgplatz on your left.
Bus
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, you can take bus number 722 towards 'Düsseldorf, Am Wehrhahn'. Get off at 'Burgplatz'. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you exit the bus, Burgplatz will be right in front of you.
