Getting There

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you are in Essen city center, head to the Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, take the tram line 108 towards 'Düsseldorf Hbf'. It will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Düsseldorf Hbf' stop. Once you exit the tram, follow the signs towards the Hofgarten, which is just a short 10-minute walk away. Head east on Worringer Str. and then take a left onto the Bismarckstraße, which leads directly to Hofgarten.

  • Public Transport - Train

    From Essen Hauptbahnhof, take the S-Bahn line S6 towards 'Düsseldorf Hbf'. The train ride will take about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head towards the east exit. Follow the signs for the Hofgarten, which is located approximately 15 minutes on foot from the station. Walk along the Worringer Str. and then turn left onto the Bismarckstraße to reach the park.
