Once you arrive at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow the signs to the U-Bahn (subway). Take the U-Bahn line U78 or U79 towards 'Düsseldorf Grafenberg' or 'Düsseldorf Messe / Nord'. Get off at the 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Burgplatz. Exit the station and walk straight ahead until you reach the intersection with 'Schadowstraße'. Turn right onto 'Schadowstraße' and continue straight until you reach the Rhine River. Once you see the river, turn left onto 'Auf der Promenade' and walk until you reach 'Burgplatz'.
