Train
From Essen Hauptbahnhof (central station), take the S6 or S1 train towards Düsseldorf. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. Once you exit the train station, follow the signs towards the 'Gare' exit. This will lead you to a pedestrian area.
Public Transport (Tram/Bus)
From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, you can take tram line 701 in the direction of 'Düsseldorf Zoo' or bus line 721 towards 'Rheinturm'. Get off at the stop 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee'. From there, walk towards the Rhine River following the signs for 'Rheinuferpromenade'. It’s a pleasant 10-minute walk.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head southwest on Worringer Straße. Continue straight until you reach the Rhine River. Turn left and walk along the riverbank for about 15 minutes until you arrive at Rheinuferpromenade. You'll enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Essen to Rheinuferpromenade. Simply give the driver the address 'Untere, Rheinwerft, 40213 Düsseldorf'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
