Getting there

Public Transport

If you are in the city center of Essen, head to the Essen Hauptbahnhof (central train station). From there, take the U11 tram towards 'Schönleberstraße'. Stay on the tram for about 6 stops, which should take around 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Hügel Park' stop. After exiting the tram, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is just a short walk from the tram stop.

Walking

If you are close to the area, you can reach Hügel Park by walking. For example, if you are near the Grugapark, head north toward the main road, which is called 'Hülsenbuschstraße'. Walk along this road for about 10-15 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Hügel Park on your right. The park entrance is well marked.

Bus

From the Essen Hauptbahnhof, you can also take bus number 140 or 141 towards 'Bredeney' or 'Kettwig' respectively. Get off at the 'Hügel Park' bus stop, which is just a few steps away from the park entrance. This journey takes approximately 10-20 minutes depending on the traffic.
