From Pottenstein, take bus line 389 towards Tüchersfeld. The bus stop is located approximately a 5-minute walk from the Fränkische Schweiz-Museum. Driving
From Pottenstein, follow the B470 towards Tüchersfeld. The museum is located in the center of Tüchersfeld. Parking is available in the village, including a larger parking area at the edge of town near the Feuerwehrhaus (fire station), a short walk from the museum. Parking is generally free, but can be limited during peak season.
FSMT-Kulturbus
On Sundays and public holidays during the Dampfbahn Fränkische Schweiz season (May 4th to October 31st, 2025), take the historic steam train to Behringersmühle. From there, the FSMT-Kulturbus provides a convenient shuttle service directly to the Fränkische Schweiz-Museum in Tüchersfeld. The shuttle runs approximately three times per half-hour between 10:50 and 16:50. A round trip costs €2.50, and a single trip costs €1.50. Note that the bus has limited seating (8 seats) and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
