From Bamberg's Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall), cross the Obere Brücke (Upper Bridge) towards the city center. Continue straight along the pedestrian zone, passing the Green Market on your right. Maximiliansplatz will open up directly ahead, marked by the large square and the Maximilians Fountain. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes and is entirely within the pedestrian zone.

From Bamberg Train Station (Bahnhof), take any of the numerous bus lines (e.g., 901, 914, 915) to the 'Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof (ZOB)' which is the central bus station. From the ZOB, Maximiliansplatz is a short 5-minute walk. Exit the ZOB towards the city center and follow the pedestrian zone. Alternatively, some bus lines also stop directly at 'Maximiliansplatz'. A single bus fare within Bamberg is approximately €1.90 - €2.10.
