Walking
From the hikers' car park at Adlerstein (Wanderparkplatz Adlerstein), follow the well-marked hiking trail towards Quackenschloss Cave. The walk is approximately 10 minutes (600m) along a scenic path. The trail runs along the top of the Adlerstein rock formation before descending slightly to the cave entrance. There are no fees or tolls associated with accessing the cave or using the hiking trail.
Public Transport
From Wiesenttal, take bus line 389 towards Ebermannstadt. Get off at the Engelhardsberg bus stop. From there, walk approximately 20 minutes (1.5km) to the hikers' car park at Adlerstein (Wanderparkplatz Adlerstein), following signs for Quackenschloss. Then follow the walking directions above. A single bus fare within the VGN network (which covers Wiesenttal) is approximately €3.50. There are no additional costs to access the cave.
