Getting There

• Tram

  If you're in Freiburg, head to the nearest tram station, which could be either 'Freiburg Hauptbahnhof' or 'Rathaus'. Take Tram line 2 towards 'Zähringerstraße'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Freiburg, Stadtgarten'. From there, transfer to Tram line 5 towards 'Bahnhof'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Bahnhof'. This will take you to the central area of Freiburg, where you can catch a train to Colmar. Trains to Colmar run frequently from Freiburg Hauptbahnhof. Once you arrive at Colmar station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Collégiale Saint-Martin. Exit the station, walk straight down Rue de la Gare, turn left onto Rue des Écoles, and follow the signs towards the Cathedral, which is hard to miss.

• Train

  From Freiburg, go to Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Purchase a ticket to Colmar (France). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Trains run regularly, so check the schedule for the next departure. Upon arriving at Colmar station, exit and head towards the city center. Walk straight along Rue de la Gare, and when you reach the intersection, turn left onto Rue des Écoles. Continue walking until you reach Place de la Cathédrale, where the Collégiale Saint-Martin is located.

• Bus

  You can take a bus from Freiburg to Colmar. Head to the Freiburg Bus Station, which is located near the Hauptbahnhof. Look for buses heading to Colmar or nearby towns. The bus ride may take about an hour or more depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Colmar, ask the bus driver or locals for directions to the Collégiale Saint-Martin. Generally, you would continue on foot from the bus stop by walking down Rue de la Gare and turning left onto Rue des Écoles, leading directly to the cathedral.
