  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the station and head east on Bismarckallee. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. Turn right onto Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, a pedestrian street filled with shops and cafes. Walk straight for about 700 meters until you reach the historical Marktplatz (Market Square). From there, continue straight onto the Münsterplatz, where you will see the Freiburg Minster. Continue to follow the path upwards to the Schlossberg hill. You will see signs for Kanonenplatz as you approach. The scenic viewpoints along the way provide many photo opportunities.

    From the Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 (direction: Landwasser) or tram line 2 (direction: Zähringer Str.) and get off at the 'Schlossberg' stop.
