Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Freiburg Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head straight down the Bertoldstraße. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the town square (Platz der Alten Synagoge). From there, take a left onto Schlossbergring. Continue along Schlossbergring for about 5 minutes, and you will see Schwabentor on your right.

    From Freiburg Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 in the direction of 'Littenweiler'. Get off at the 'Schlossberg' stop. After exiting the tram, walk towards the Schlossbergring and take a right. Schwabentor will be a short walk ahead on your left.

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the city center and head towards the city wall. Follow the bike paths along the streets until you reach the Schlossbergring. Continue along the road until you see Schwabentor on your right. There are bike racks available nearby for parking.
