From Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the train to 'Seebrugg' on the Höllentalbahn line (RB 27). The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Ensure to check the schedule for train times. Once you arrive at Seebrugg station, you will find signs directing you to Schluchsee, which is about a 20-minute walk (1.5 km) from the station. Follow the path leading from the station towards the lake.

From Freiburg, you can also take a bus to Schluchsee. From the Freiburg central bus station (ZOB), take bus number 721 to 'Schluchsee, Post'. The journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Post' stop in Schluchsee, you will be in close proximity to the lake. Just follow the signs towards the lakefront, which is a short walk away.
