Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Altstadt area, the Hamburg Dungeon is within a short walking distance. Head towards the historic Speicherstadt district. Starting from the Town Hall (Rathaus), walk towards the river Elbe. Continue on the Deichstraße street until you reach the intersection with Kehrwieder. Turn right onto Kehrwieder and you will see the Hamburg Dungeon located at Kehrwieder 2, just a few minutes away. The total walking distance is about 15 minutes.

  • Public Transport - U-Bahn

    If you prefer to take public transport, locate the nearest U-Bahn station, which is 'Rathaus' (U2 line). Board the train towards 'Niendorf Nord' and get off at the next stop, 'Jungfernstieg'. From Jungfernstieg, exit the station and walk towards the riverfront. Continue along the river until you reach Kehrwieder. The Hamburg Dungeon will be on your left at Kehrwieder 2. The ticket for the U-Bahn costs approximately €3.40 for a single journey.

    Another option is to take a bus. Find the nearest bus stop, which could be 'Rathausmarkt'. You can take bus line 6 or 26. Ride the bus for a few stops and get off at 'Kehrwieder'.
