Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are starting from Hamburg Central Station (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn (subway) Line U4 in the direction of HafenCity Universität. After about 5 stops, get off at the HafenCity Universität station. Once you exit the station, head towards the Elbphilharmonie (Elbe Philharmonic Hall). From there, continue walking towards the water and follow the signs to Marco Polo Terraces, which are located along the waterfront in the HafenCity area.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Elbphilharmonie, walk towards the water and follow the promenade along the Elbe River. The Marco Polo Terraces will be on your left side. The walk is scenic and takes about 10 minutes from the Elbphilharmonie.

  • Ferry

    From the Landungsbrücken ferry terminal, take Ferry Line 72 towards Finkenwerder. Get off at the stop called 'HafenCity' (this is a short 10-minute ride). Once you disembark, walk towards the Marco Polo Terraces, which are just a few minutes' walk away along the waterfront.

  • Bus

    If you are near the Hamburg City Hall (Rathaus), you can take Bus Line 111 in the direction of 'HafenCity'. Get off at the stop 'Marco-Polo-Terrassen'. From there, the terraces are just a short walk away, and you will already be in the vicinity of the attraction.
