Getting There

    If you are already in HafenCity, the Magellan Terraces are within walking distance. Start at the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall, which is a well-known landmark. From there, head south along the Elbe riverbank promenade. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, passing by the beautiful waterfront views and modern architecture. You will see the Magellan Terraces on your left side, just before you reach the Magellanplatz square. The exact address is Magellan-Terrassen, 20457 Hamburg.

    If you are further away in HafenCity, you can take a bus to get closer to the Magellan Terraces. Look for the bus stop 'Am Sandtorkai'. You can take Bus Line 111, which runs frequently. Board the bus and travel for about 5 minutes. Get off at the 'Magellanplatz' stop. From there, it’s just a short 3-minute walk to the Magellan Terraces. Head towards the waterfront, and you’ll see the terraces ahead of you. Please note that a single bus ticket costs approximately €3.40.
