Getting There

• Public Transport

  Start your journey at Hannover Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). From there, take the S-Bahn line S4 towards 'Buchholz' or 'Hannover-Misburg'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'Misburg' station. Upon exiting the station, walk straight towards the 'Burgstraße' and turn left. Follow 'Burgstraße' until you reach the junction with 'Waldstraße'. Continue straight onto 'Waldstraße' and walk for about 20 minutes until you arrive at the Hindenburgschleuse Anderten, located at 'An d. Schleuse, 30559 Hannover'.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, you can start at the city center near the Market Church (Marktkirche). Head southeast towards 'Ballhofplatz', then continue onto 'Knochenhauerstraße'. This will lead you to 'Rosenstraße' where you will turn left. Follow 'Rosenstraße' until you reach 'Am Bäckerbreitergang', then turn right. Continue straight until you reach 'Hannover Hauptbahnhof'. From there, follow the public transport directions mentioned above. The entire walking journey might take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many bike rental services in the city, such as Nextbike. Start at the city center and head towards 'Kurt-Schumacher-Straße'. Follow the bike lanes to 'Burgstraße', then continue along the bike-friendly paths to 'Waldstraße'. This route takes you directly to Hindenburgschleuse Anderten. The cycling distance is about 7 kilometers and should take roughly 30 minutes, depending on your speed.
