Walking
If you are in the city center of Heidelberg, start at the Hauptstraße (Main Street), which is the main pedestrian street. Walk towards Bismarckplatz, a large square located at the end of Hauptstraße. From Bismarckplatz, head towards the tram station and look for tram line 5 towards Mannheim. Board the tram and enjoy the ride, which will take about 30 minutes. Get off the tram at the Mannheim City Center stop (Stadtmitte). Once you exit the tram, walk straight down the street until you reach the Kapuzinerplanken square, which is a popular town square in Mannheim. It will be on your left.
