Start at Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (the main train station). Take the tram line 5 towards 'Heidelberg Kirchheim'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Bergheim'. From the tram stop, walk straight ahead on Bergheimer Straße until you reach the intersection with Eppelheimer Straße. Turn left onto Eppelheimer Straße and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance to the Stadtwald. Enter the Stadtwald and follow the signs for the hiking trails leading to Klingenteichwasserfall. The waterfall is approximately a 20-minute walk from the entrance.

If you are already in the Altstadt (Old Town), start at the Marktplatz (Market Square). Walk up the Hauptstraße toward the Philosophenweg (Philosopher's Walk). After about 15 minutes, look for a path leading into the woods on your right. Follow the trail signs for Klingenteichwasserfall, which will lead you through the forest for about 25 minutes until you reach the waterfall.
