From Heidelberg, head to the Heidelberg main train station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof). You can take bus lines 33 or 34 to get there if you're not within walking distance. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Karlsruhe. Trains to Karlsruhe run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. After arriving at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and look for the tram or bus connections to the city center.

After arriving at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, take Tram Line 2 (heading towards 'Kaiserstraße') or Tram Line 3 (heading towards 'Waldstadt') from the tram stop located just outside the station. The tram ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Marktplatz' stop, which is the city center and will take you directly to Marktplatz.
