Walking
If you are in the Old Town (Altstadt) of Heidelberg, head towards the Neckar River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach the Old Bridge (Alte Brücke). Cross the bridge and take the path leading up towards the castle (Schloss Heidelberg). Continue walking up the hill, following the signs to the castle. Once you reach the castle, you will find the entrance to Nordwall at Schlosshof 1. The walk may take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transport
From the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the Bus 33 towards 'Schloss.' This bus will take you directly to the castle area. Get off at the 'Schloss' stop. From there, follow the signs to Nordwall, which is located at Schlosshof 1. The total travel time is approximately 20 minutes including the bus ride.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Heidelberg. Start from the city center and cycle along the Neckar River towards the Old Bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue up the hill towards the castle area. There are bike paths that will lead you almost directly to Schlosshof 1, where Nordwall is located. The cycling route will take about 15-20 minutes.
