Walking
If you are starting from Heidelberg's main train station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the bus stop directly in front. Take bus line 33 towards 'Heidelberg Alte Brücke'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Schloss' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Heidelberg Castle (Schloss Heidelberg). Once you reach the castle, continue walking past the castle entrance and down the path towards 'Schlosshof'. Scheffelterrasse is located at Schlosshof 1, just a short walk from the castle, offering great views of the city.

If you are in the Old Town (Heidelberger Altstadt), make your way to the main square (Marktplatz). From the square, head towards the castle by walking up the Hauptstraße street. Follow this road until you reach the castle entrance. Once you’ve arrived at the castle, keep walking towards the Schlosshof area. Scheffelterrasse will be on your left, offering a scenic terrace view of Heidelberg.
