Getting There

• Train

  From Heidelberg, head to the Heidelberg Main Train Station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof). You can take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, or S3) to Mannheim. From Mannheim, transfer to a regional train heading to Worms. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Worms Train Station, exit the station and walk straight ahead until you reach the main street, then turn left onto Bahnhofstraße. Keep walking until you reach Synagogenplatz, where the Worms Synagogue is located.

• Bus

  From Heidelberg, you can take a bus from the Heidelberg Central Bus Station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof). Look for buses heading towards Worms. The journey will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus station in Worms, exit the bus, and head towards Synagogenplatz by walking straight for about 10 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Heidelberg. Head towards the Neckar River and follow the cycling paths in the direction of Worms. The ride is approximately 25 kilometers and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to follow the signs for the cycle route towards Worms. Once you arrive in Worms, follow signs to Synagogenplatz.

• Walk

  Walking directly from Heidelberg to Worms is not practical due to the distance of about 25 kilometers. However, you can walk to the nearest train or bus station and take public transport to Worms, as described in the previous options.
