From Heidelberg, head to the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can walk there from the city center, following signs for 'Bahnhof' or using local tram lines. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Karlsruhe, which is approximately a 15-20 minute journey. Trains to Karlsruhe leave regularly, so check the schedules displayed on the boards. Get off at the Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof.

After arriving at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, exit the train station and locate the bus station, which is adjacent to the train station. Look for bus line 10, which goes directly to the Zoological Gardens Karlsruhe. The journey should take about 10-15 minutes. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Zoologischer Garten' stop.

If you prefer to walk from the bus stop, once you disembark at 'Zoologischer Garten', proceed to walk towards Ettlinger Str. 6. The entrance to the Zoological Gardens is a short walk from the bus stop, and you will see signs directing you to the gardens. It should take about 5 minutes on foot.
