Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, head towards Sankt Goar in the Lower Rhine region. From the A61 motorway, take the exit towards Boppard/St. Goar (exit 37). Follow the B9 road along the Rhine River for about 5 km until you reach Sankt Goar. Once in Sankt Goar, follow the signs for 'Schloss Rheinfels' or 'Rheinfels Castle.' You will find parking available near the castle entrance, but please be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

Train

For those using public transportation, take a train to Sankt Goar. There are regular connections from major cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Mainz. Once you arrive at Sankt Goar train station, exit the station and head towards the Rhine River. From there, it is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill to reach Rheinfels Castle. Follow the signs for 'Schloss Rheinfels' to guide you up the hill.

Bus

Alternatively, you can take a local bus from nearby towns to Sankt Goar. Check the local bus schedules for routes that service the area. Once you arrive at the Sankt Goar bus stop, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to the castle by following the path towards the Rhine and then up the hill towards 'Schloss Rheinfels.'
