If driving, enter 'Burg Eltz, Wierschem' into your GPS. This will lead you to the castle car park. Parking costs €4 for cars and motorbikes, and €8 for larger vehicles like camper vans. From the car park, it's approximately a 1.3km walk to the castle entrance. Alternatively, a shuttle bus is available from the car park to the castle for €2 per person, per ride (cash only). The shuttle bus stop is located near the Antonius Chapel.
Public Transport
For those using public transport, take a train to Hatzenport. From Hatzenport Bahnhof (train station), take bus 365 directly to the 'Wierschem, Burg Eltz' bus stop, which is located at the castle car park. In 2025, a single bus fare from Hatzenport Bahnhof to Wierschem, Burg Eltz is €5.10. From the car park, you can either walk to the castle (approx. 1.3km) or take the shuttle bus for €2 per person, per ride (cash only).
