Walking
From the Beilstein Marktplatz (market square), follow the cobbled Bachstraße uphill. This turns into Im Mühlental. Continue following the signs for Burg Metternich. The walk is steep and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking to the castle.
Driving
From Beilstein, follow the road signs towards Im Mühlental. There is a small metered parking lot (Im-Mulental 50.1085466, 7.2408434) at the base of the castle path. Parking costs a maximum of €7 per day. From the parking lot, follow the signs up to the castle; it's a 5-10 minute walk.
Public Transport
The nearest train station is in Cochem. From Cochem, take a local bus to Beilstein. From the Beilstein bus stop, follow the walking directions above to reach the castle. A single bus fare from Cochem to Beilstein is approximately €3-5.
