Driving
If arriving by car, navigate to Alken and follow signs for Burg Thurant. Free parking is available directly at the castle. Be aware that the road leading to the castle is narrow and winding in some sections.
Public Transport
From Alken's town center, the castle is a steep uphill walk of approximately 15-20 minutes. Bus line 651 stops in Alken (Kirchstraße), from where you can walk to the castle. The nearest train station is in Löf, across the Moselle River. From Löf, you can take a bus or taxi to Alken, followed by the uphill walk to the castle.
Walking
From the Alken waterfront, follow the signs uphill towards Burg Thurant. The walk is steep but rewarding, offering scenic views of the village and the Moselle River. The path is mostly paved but can be uneven in places.
