Public Transport
If you are in central Munich, head to the nearest U-Bahn station. Use the U5 line and travel towards 'Neuperlach Süd'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Lehel'. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the exit on 'Widenmayerstraße'. After exiting, walk straight ahead for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with 'Praterstraße'. Turn left on 'Praterstraße', and shortly after, you will see 'Praterinsel 5' on your right, where the Alpine Museum is located.
Walking
If you are already in the Altstadt-Lehel area, the Alpine Museum is accessible on foot. From the 'Isartor' gate, head east along 'Isartorstraße' until you reach 'Widenmayerstraße'. Turn left and continue until you reach 'Praterstraße'. Take a right on 'Praterstraße', and you will find 'Praterinsel 5' a short walk ahead, on your right side.
Tram
From 'Marienplatz', take tram line 16 or 17 in the direction of 'St. Emmeram'. After 3 stops, get off at 'Lehel'. After disembarking, follow 'Widenmayerstraße' heading east for about 300 meters. Turn left onto 'Praterstraße' and you will find 'Praterinsel 5' on your right, where the Alpine Museum is situated.
