Public Transport
If you are near the central station (Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7 or S8) to 'Marienplatz'. Once you arrive at Marienplatz, follow the signs to the exit. As you exit, you will see the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) directly in front of you. From there, walk towards the Hofgarten (Garden) which is to the left. Walk along the side of the New Town Hall until you reach the entrance to the Hofgarten. The Dianatempel is located within the Hofgarten at Hofgartenstraße 6.
Walking
If you are staying in the Altstadt-Lehel area or are near the English Garden, you can reach the Dianatempel by walking. Head towards the Hofgarten. Look for the entrance near the Bavarian State Chancellery. Once inside the Hofgarten, walk straight to the center where you will find the Dianatempel. Ensure to take a leisurely stroll, as this area has beautiful pathways and gardens.
Tram
Take tram line 19 from any stop along the route heading towards 'Pasing'. Get off at 'Theatinerstraße'. From the tram stop, walk down Theatinerstraße towards Odeonsplatz. At Odeonsplatz, turn left onto Hofgartenstraße. Continue walking straight, and you will find the entrance to the Hofgarten on your right. The Dianatempel is located within the Hofgarten.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, Munich has a great network of bike paths. Rent a bike from any bike rental station in the city. Head towards the city center, aiming for Max-Joseph-Platz. From there, cycle along the path to the Hofgarten, which is located just behind the National Theatre. Once you reach the Hofgarten, park your bike and walk towards the center of the garden to find the Dianatempel.
