Public Transport
If you are starting from Munich Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the U2 subway line towards Messestadt North. Get off at the next stop, Sendlinger Tor. From Sendlinger Tor, transfer to the U5 line towards Neuperlach South. Get off at the next stop, Odeonsplatz. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the exit marked 'Brienner Straße'. At Odeonsplatz, head north along Brienner Straße until you reach the intersection with Barer Straße. Turn left onto Barer Straße, and you will find Alte Pinakothek at Barer Str. 27, just a short walk ahead.
Tram
If you are near the Sendlinger Tor area, catch the Tram 27 towards Petuelring. Get off at the stop 'Pinakotheken'. From the tram stop, walk a short distance down Barer Straße. The Alte Pinakothek will be on your right at Barer Str. 27.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the University of Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität), you can walk to Alte Pinakothek. Head east on Geschwister-Scholl-Platz towards the main entrance of the university, then turn left onto Luisenstraße. Continue straight until you reach Barer Straße, then turn right. You will see Alte Pinakothek at Barer Str. 27, just a few minutes away.
