Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Højer in Denmark. From North Frisia, take the B5 road towards the Danish border. Continue on B5 until you reach the border crossing, where the road becomes Route 11 in Denmark. Follow Route 11 towards Højer. Once in Højer, follow the signs to Slusevej. Vidåslusen is located on Slusevej, just outside the village. Make sure to check for parking spaces along the road or nearby.

If you prefer to use public transportation, take a regional train from North Frisia to Tønder in Denmark. Check the schedules for the best connection times. Once in Tønder, transfer to bus line 150 towards Højer. The bus will take you directly to Højer. From the bus stop in Højer, it is a 20-minute walk to Slusevej. Follow the signs to Vidåslusen. Be prepared for a short walk, and check the local bus schedules for return times.

For the more adventurous, consider cycling to Vidåslusen. From North Frisia, you can bike along designated bike paths towards the Danish border. Once you cross into Denmark, continue on the cycling routes to Højer. The ride offers beautiful views of the countryside, and once you reach Højer, follow Slusevej to Vidåslusen. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring water for the journey.
