Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the heart of Altstadt, head towards the Hauptmarkt, which is the central market square. From there, proceed to the south-west corner of the square where you can find the beautiful St. Lorenz Church (Lorenzkirche). Once you reach the church, take a left onto the Neutorstraße street. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the Neutor, which is a historic gate. The Bürgermeistergarten is located right next to this gate. You will see the entrance to the park on your right.

  • Public Transport

    If you prefer using public transport, you can take the tram line 6 or 9 from the 'Hauptmarkt' stop. Board the tram and travel towards 'Nürnberg' for 2 stops. Get off at 'Neutor' stop. From the tram stop, it’s a short 3-minute walk to Bürgermeistergarten. Head north on Neutorstraße, and you will see the entrance to the garden on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you are using a bicycle, you can ride from any central location in Altstadt. Follow the bike paths along the Pegnitz River towards the Neutor. As you approach the Neutor, look for bike parking areas nearby. Once parked, walk a couple of minutes towards the entrance of Bürgermeistergarten located next to the historic gate.
