Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are starting from Nuremberg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the main entrance. Take tram line 4 (direction: Rothenburger Straße) or tram line 6 (direction: Rotherstraße) for one stop to 'Plärrer'. At 'Plärrer', transfer to tram line 2 (direction: Messe) and ride for three stops until you reach 'Opernhaus'. From the 'Opernhaus' stop, walk down Luitpoldstraße for about 5 minutes, and you will find the New Museum on your left at Luitpoldstraße 5.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Nuremberg Castle (Nürnberger Burg), you can walk to the New Museum. Exit the castle grounds and head down towards Kettenstraße. Turn left and follow Kettenstraße until you reach the intersection with Luitpoldstraße. Turn right onto Luitpoldstraße and continue walking straight for about 10 minutes. The New Museum will be on your right at Luitpoldstraße 5.

  • Bus

    From Hauptbahnhof, you can also take bus line 36 (direction: Schoppershof) from the bus stop outside the station. Ride for 3 stops and get off at 'Bärenschanze'. From there, walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes, crossing the intersection until you reach Luitpoldstraße. Turn right, and the New Museum will be at Luitpoldstraße 5.
