Walking

If you're in the Altstadt area, head towards Hauptmarkt, which is a central square. The Beautiful Fountain, known as Schöner Brunnen, is located right in the middle of this bustling market square. From any point in Altstadt, simply ask for directions to Hauptmarkt, and you will likely be guided there. Once at Hauptmarkt, look for the ornate fountain with its colorful decorations and intricate carvings.

Public Transportation

If you're further away from the Hauptmarkt area, consider taking the U-Bahn (subway). The closest station is ‘Plärrer’ on the U1 or U2 lines. From Plärrer, take the U1 towards Langwasser Süd and get off at the next stop, ‘Hauptbahnhof’. Exit the station and walk towards the historic center (Altstadt). It’s about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards Hauptmarkt, where The Beautiful Fountain is located.

Tram

You can also take tram lines 4 or 6 to the ‘Hauptmarkt’ stop. From there, you will be directly at the square where The Beautiful Fountain is located. Simply exit the tram and you'll see the fountain right in front of you, surrounded by other historic sites.
